Gillingham scored three-goals in the final two-minutes, plus injury-time, to come from behind and secure a final day win against Notts County on Sunday. A win that condemned Notts County to League 2!

With time running out Notts County were on for safety, and a win at Priestfield, but these late goals saw us end up three-one winners in the end.

After a goalless first half Burke (61) made the breakthrough for Notts County just past the hour with his goal, from a tight angle, leaving them on course to stay in League 1 at the time.

With just two-minutes to play Egan (88) headed home to make it one-one.

Deep into injury-time we took the lead when Dickenson (90+3) curled home before even later Norris (90+5), who had come off the bench, added the third to make well and truly sure that Notts County would be going down….

Notts County had chances to secure their win but we had Morris to thank for some fine saves, although it wasn’t all one way traffic as Dack had been denied by a goal line clearance as our visitors, who won only once in 13-matches, dropped into the bottom four having started the day with survival in their own hands.
Successful season?
We stayed in League 1, it looked likely to be the case for most of the season, comfortably to finish in midtable but would you have expected a little more than we got back in August?
