Gillingham’s pre-season plans ahead of the 2015/16 season continue to fall into place with a third friendly announced recently.

Folkestone Invicta will entertain us in July, with this friendly added to the other confirmed friendlies at Tonbridge Angles and Brighton’s visit to Priestfield in July as well.

This game at the Fullicks Stadium will be played on Tuesday 7th July, kicking-off at 7:45pm, with this also acting as a testimonial for long-serving Frankie Chappell who had played for Folkestone in almost 400-matches since joining them as an 18-year-old.

We last faced them in the summer of 2014, which was a game we won on that occasion three-one so as much as results aren’t the main thing from pre-season – as it’s performances and simply minutes on the pitch – we’ll be looking for another win this time round.
