The latest weekend of league 1 football is here with Gillingham in action at home as the ‘big boys’ take their international break.

Gillingham welcome Leyton Orient to Priestfield this afternoon as we look to build on a midweek win, a rare one, in the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy as league football returns.

We’ll without Joe Martin (suspension) as he starts his three-match suspension following his sending off in the midweek win over Crawley Town but new loanee signing from Brighton & Hove Albion Adam Chicksen should make his debut.

Callum Davies (leg) should be fit to return but Luke Norris (knee), Aaron Morris and Amine Linganzi (both hamstring) are out with Cody MacDonald back in the mix after being rested on Tuesday night.

Leyton Orient hope to have Jay Simpson (leg) fit despite him limping off in their own JPT win in midweek. Jobi McAnuff (international duty) and the injured Romain Vincelot (knee), Lloyd James (broken leg), David Mooney (ankle) and Kevin Lisbie (shoulder) are all out.

Adam Legzdins (finger) and Gary Sawyer (knee) should be fit to feature after retuning in the win over Northampton Town with Scott Cuthbert back after being rested.
