Luke Norris’ transfer fee looks set to go to a tribunal as a deal can’t be agreed.

Gillingham announced the signing of the striker from Brentford last week, but with the 21-year-old at the age that entitles Brentford to a ‘compensation package’ this was something that always had to be agreed.

As it stands the two sides have failed to ‘thrash out a deal’ for him and that means a tribunal looks set to be the place this will go with them setting the fee that is paid for Norris.

The striker is now at an age where he needs, and wants, regular first-team football having started to show in a loan spell with league 2 outfit Northampton Town what he is capable of doing, with this something that we will be wanting to continue this season.

Norris’ fees shouldn’t be too high, with it known soon enough.
