The Football League have now announced the Match Day officials that will take charge of the game against Peterborough United this weekend.

Gillingham host Peterborough United on Saturday January 23 for the game at Priestfield Stadium and the match carries a 3pm kick off.

Referee: James Adcock
Linesmen: Robert Mackay and Adam Crysell
Fourth Official: Carl Fitch

Match Day referee Adcock (Nottinghamshire) has officiated one Gillingham game this season – the three all draw with Oldham in October. In that game he showed four yellow cards, one to Gillingham.

He has however already taken in eighteen other matches so far in 2015-16 and in those games, across all competitions and football divisions, he has handed out a total of 44 yellow cards and zero red cards.

He was most card happy in the match between Gillingham and Oldham on October 3 with a total of four yellows being shown. Four has been a lucky number for him in games against Leeds and Ipswich in September, Bury and Fleetwood in August and the opening day of the campaign between Sheffield Wednesday and Bristol City.

Let`s hope it`s not another repeat and more of our players edge closer to automatic bans.
