We had to wait until 6pm on a Sunday night for our league 1 game but when Gillingham finally got this against Walsall we had to be content with an away point in the end….

The Johnstone’s Paint Tie with Bristol City caused this rearrangement with, I believe, the Walsall market leading to the late kick-off – when it arrived it looked like we might win, having gone ahead but we had to settle for a one-one draw in the end.

Dack (69), just past the midway point of the second half, got in behind the Walsall defence to give us the lead and leave the hosts facing a fourth successive home defeat.

Had we held the lead for a little longer we might have won, as it was Grimes (74) levelled within five-minutes to see the points shared.

Attention now moves away from this game and turns to our next one against Sheffield United and we are looking for your view on what way this will go?

Select the option that you want from the list in the poll to your right, but why not also share your thoughts with us on your thinking for that game, and this game itself, with some views below….
