Gillingham’s League 1 season continued with a draw against Shrewsbury at Greenhous Meadow on Saturday.

The Gills had to make do with a point from a two-two draw, which has seen a deficit overturned with Shrewsbury hitting back late on to deny Gillingham top spot….

Deji Oshilaja’s own goal put Shrewsbury ahead but Cody McDonald had Gillingham level before the break and on the hour Ryan Jackson powered home from 25-yards to give the Gills the lead.

The Shrews earned a point through James Collins.

Rochdale 2-1 Port Vale
Scunthorpe 0-4 Peterborough
Shrewsbury 2-2 Gillingham

Walsall 2-1 Bradford

Looking at these results the stand out ones have to be the wins for Blackpool, Rochdale and Peterborough?

Burton and Swindon produced convincing wins over Colchester and Chesterfield, respectively – with the Spireites defeat resulting in Dean Saunders being sacked, deserve honourable mentions though!

Blackpool and Fleetwood are not only neighbours they look like being relegation rivals this season with the Tangerines getting the points, and bragging rights, at Bloomfield Road with a one-nil win.

The recent form of Rochdale, compared to Port Vale who hadn’t lost in the month before Saturday, makes the two-one win at Spotland all the more impressive.

Peterborough not only won, which they did at Glanford Park against Scunthorpe, another four-goal haul saw Posh go home with the points after an impressive four-nil win!

Gillingham aren’t back in action again until 12th December when Burton are the visitors to Priestfield.
