The Gillingham unbeaten run was extended in midweek, the weekend win over Sheffield United built upon with Justin Edinburgh winning his first game in charge of us at Peterborough for a perfect start as we made it six unbeaten….

Edinburgh’s first game started well, but it looked like we might have to settle for a draw at London Road until a late winner made sure we came home with a two-one win on Tuesday.

Peterborough should have been ahead after starting positively but a James was somehow put against the bar from a couple of yards by Brisley, and then on the half hour mark we made the hosts pay when Garmston’s cross was turned in by Dack (30).

James was again involved when Peterborough did equalise 10-minutes into the second half, his pass was finished off by Payne (55) to level it up.

With a draw on Marquis (79) grabbed the latest goal of his loan spell to give up the points.

Attention now moves away from this game and turns to our next one against MK Dons and we are looking for your view on what way this will go?
