Gillingham are without a win in the three-games that the caretaker quartet have been in charge, which has seen us slip back into the relegation zone with us beaten three-one at Crewe on Saturday afternoon.

A Nicky Ajose (27) penalty, when Gavin Hoyte brought down Uche Ikpeazu, was quickly followed up by a Harry Davis (32) goal to leave Crewe in complete control just past the half hour mark.

Bradley Dack (55) gave us hope early in the second half of a fightback at Gresty Road but even though there seemed to be more than a hint of handball in the build-up to his goal Uche Ikpeazu’s (84) late third sealed a three-one win for the host.

Going into the game victory isn’t something we expected, at best it would be a draw, as these were the pre-match polls findings:-

Crewe v Gillingham

Crewe win 50%
Draw 50%
Gillingham win 0%
