Gillingham’s League 1 season continued with a one-nil defeat against Blackpool at Bloomfield Road on Saturday.

A first half penalty from Jack Redshaw was enough to inflict a defeat on Gillingham, which saw them fail to capitalise on a Burton slip against Rochdale so they remain top and the Gills 2nd.

The above video shows the highlights from this game.

These were the other results.

Saturday 30th January 2016
Blackpool 1-0 Gillingham
Bradford 2-1 Fleetwood
Coventry 1-2 Scunthorpe
Millwall 1-1 Crewe
Rochdale 2-1 Burton
Swindon 0-1 Barnsley
Wigan 3-0 Port Vale

Looking at these results the stand out ones have to be the wins for Scunthorpe (two-one) and Rochdale (two-one).

Coventry’s own promotion hopes were dealt another blow with a surprise two-one defeat suffered by the Sky Blues at the Ricoh Arena with managerless Scunthorpe winning again.

Despite suffering another defeat, a two-one setback at Rochdale the lead was retained by Burton but they missed a chance to extend this lead when suffering this surprise defeat at Spotland.
