Gillingham 0-1 Wycombe

Gillingham had the chance to return to the top of the League Two table on Monday night, however they slipped to a home defeat against Wycombe.

The chances, clear cut ones, were few and far between for Gillingham with their best efforts coming in the first half really.

Wycombe could, and maybe should, have been at least a couple of goals to the good but missed opportunities and saves from Stuart Nelson looked as though it would earn the hosts a point, and him the man of the match award!

Five-minutes from time, having just missed a glorious chance, Matt McClure (85) scored a fine goal to give Wycombe a 1-0 win.

An unsavoury end to the game saw Wycombe keeper Jordan Archer confronted by a Gillingham fan, a scene nobody ever wants to see.
