Josh Hare returned for another spell with non-league outfit Eastbourne Borough last week.

Hare spent some time with the conference south side during the 2012/13 season in what was a successful loan spell so he’ll be looking to enjoy success during this short-term loan spell as well.

The right back is scheduled to spend the next month with the club.

Hare, who was selected for the League Cup win over Yeovil Town earlier this season for his Gills debut, was injured in only his second appearance for us when he was carried off against Yeovil in the league 1 meeting a few days later.

The defender has been turning out for the development side since his return to fitness but will now spend the next month with Eastbourne and has already made his second debut as his temporary side beat Hayes & Yeading.

It’s a loan that should benefit all concerned and give him the first-team football he needs at this stage.
