Gillingham are looking to cement their League Two promotion bid with the aid of a newly signed winger.

Highly-rated Fulham man Ryan Williams, signed from Portsmouth last year for around £250,000 having impressed scouts despite limited outings for the then Championship side, is expected to come to Priestfield in a loan capacity.

19-year-old Williams, an Australian youth international, comes from quite a family of talented footballers with his twin brother Aryn playing for Burnley and their older brother Rhys the captain of Middlesbrough.

Williams certainly has potential, and I can speak first hand having seen him play, and would offer something to The Gills in an attacking capacity.
