A dramatic end to the game saw what looked likely to be a point won by Gillingham then seemingly lost but deep into injury-time we still secured a point against Colchester on Saturday.

When we equalised less than 10-minutes from time it look like it would be a one-one draw at Priestfield – Colchester retook the lead but following on from a sending off we then secured a two-two draw in the sixth-minutes of injury-time!

After a goalless first half the lead went Colchester’s way when Moncur (62) scored just past the hour mark, and that is how it stayed until eight-minutes from time when QPR loanee Ehmer (82) converted Loft’s freekick to make it one-one.

Porter (87) looked as though he had headed a winner three-minutes from time from Briggs’ cross but then Briggs was saw red for collecting his second yellow card. Moment later we made the most of this with Loft (90+6) smashing home from distance to secure a dramatic point!

This draw will feel more like a win for us, can we follow it up with a positive result in our next game? Let us know by voting in the poll to your right.
