Gillingham’s eight-match unbeaten run came to an end on Saturday as Edinburgh tasted home defeat, his first defeat full stop, since becoming our manager with Barnsley winning one-nil – who extended their own unbeaten run to three and gave Johnson a winning start as manager.

Scowen, for Barnsley, and our Millwall loanee, who we’ve confirmed we’re looking to keep in the summer, Marquis went the closest in the opening 45-minutes, Marquis headed wide….

Barnsley made the decisive breakthrough when Waring (56) followed up to give the visitors the lead – Hoyte almost drew us level instantly but, with the closest we came, his effort was well saved by Davies as we suffered a one-nil setback.
