Michael Doughty’s loan spell with Gillingham hasn’t been in place for long but it has already been decided that he’s someone that Peter Taylor wants for longer.

Since his arrival, on an initial one-month spell, on 22nd October the Queens Park Rangers midfielder has impressed at Priestfield in his two-appearances to date with him gaining much credit for those showings.

This has prompted us into extended the 21-year-olds spell into the New Year.

Upon the agreement of the Premier League side the Welsh U21 international will now spend a further two-months with the Gills taking his loan spell through until November 22nd now and a chance for him to gain further first-team experience that should, and will if he carries on as he’s started, be beneficial to everyone.
