Gillingham’s sixth signing of the summer was today confirmed with Brennan Dickenson signed on a two-year deal.

The forward struggled to make the step-up with Brighton & Hove Albion after joining them from Dorchester Town in 2012, where he’d impressed in a year with the non-league outfit after making his breakthrough.

In his time with the championship side he spent time on loan with Chesterfield, AFC Wimbledon and last season Northampton Town.

Peter Taylor has been impressed enough with what he’s seen of the 21-year-old and will be looking for him to step up to the plate instantly next season, the winger would also be keen to prove himself and has been given a league 1 platform to do so.

He’s got potential, if he lives up to this then he’ll prove a very good Gills signing wont he?
