Callum Davies has been allowed to leave Gillingham in another loan capacity, as he seeks some regular first-team football with his exit confirmed on the Official Website.

Davies, who was on loan with Dover last season, will now spend the next month with Bromley of the Vanarama National League.

Former Gills boss Peter Taylor sanctioned the loan to Dover last season, however an injury three-matches into this loan with the Non League side saw him injured and he missed the remainder of that campaign, with him not featuring in the first-team under Justin Edinburgh this season.

Will the 22-year-old have a future under the Gills boss? This is the perfect chance to prove that he does with some regular first-team football so good luck to him

The win over Plymouth in the Capital One Cup last week, which Davies was incidentally an unused sub in, saw Gillingham into the second round and after the draw we know it’ll be against Championship side Birmingham at St Andrew’s.

Details for this second round tie, as the Gills look to cause an upset, have also been confirmed on the Official Website.

This League Cup tie has had a kick-off time of 7:45pm set for Tuesday 25th August.
