Gillingham are represented in the latest Football League team of the week that has been selected after this week’s action.

The performance by Bradley Dack in Gillingham’s three nil victory over Bradford City at the weekend at Priestfield Stadium was enough to earn them a place in the side alongside the other most impressive performers in the Football League pyramid.

I think we’ll already know ourselves, and not just based on the latest performance, why Dack was selected as part of the team but explaining the choice – the FL blurb read.

‘Dack excelled for the Gills in 2015 and he carried that form into the New Year with another classy performance in their 3-0 win at home to Bradford City. The 22-year-old set Gillingham on their way with a brilliant opening goal, and he then turned provider for Rory Donnelly to double the lead as the Kent outfit moved back into Sky Bet League 1’s automatic promotion places.’

It’s always good to see us represented in this way, and well played to Dack for his recognition, but the most important thing about the weekend was of course the victory and all three points.

Full Team:

Carl Ikeme (Wolverhampton Wanderers), George Friend (Middlesbrough), Paul Robinson (AFC Wimbledon), Vincent Sasso (Sheffield Wednesday), Ricky Holmes (Northampton), Erhun Oztumer (Peterborough), Mohamed Diame (Hull City), Bradley Dack (Gillingham), Adam Armstrong (Coventry City), Lee Novak (Chesterfield), Calvin Andrew (Rochdale).

Manager – John Still (Dagenham and Redbridge).
