Gillingham are represented in the latest Football League team of the week that has been selected after this week’s action.

The performance by Bradley Dack in the two one victory over Bury at the weekend at Gigg Lane was enough to earn them a place in the side alongside the other most impressive performers in the Football League pyramid.

I think we’ll already know ourselves, and not just based on the latest performance, why Dack was selected as part of the team but explaining the choice – the FL blurb read.

‘It was one goal and one assist for Dack, and one very important victory for Gillingham as they defeated Bury 2-1 to leapfrog the Shakers in the process. The midfielder opened the scoring, finishing a counter attack with a low drive from the edge of the box, and assisted the winning goal, scored by Cody McDonald.’

It’s always good to see the club represented in this way, and well played to Dack for his recognition, but the most important thing about the weekend was of course the points.
