Adam Chicksen is back with Gillingham for a second loan spell, having already had a short-term loan with the club last season when he made four first-team appearances.

Chicksen, who had struggled for regular football with Brighton since his arrival from MK Dons, has had loans with Leyton Orient and Fleetwood this season, with him returning to the Gills for an initial one-month spell that will take him through until 23rd February.

He made only two appearances for Albion this season with Justin Edinburgh telling the Official Website he’s looking forward to his return to Priestfield.

‘We are delighted to have signed Adam, he is somebody we have kept an eye on for a while and are pleased we had the opportunity to bring him here. He will add quality to our squad, he’s a strong defender and we look forward to working with him.’

The defender could make his second debut against Blackpool at the weekend.
