Gillingham have only 12 points left to play for in this year’s battle for League One promotion.

With the games dwindling down now at the real business end of the campaign as we find ourselves already through the first April scheduled games, it’s still all to play for for Gillingham and this is the run in we face.

Gillingham:
Tue 19 Rochdale (A)
Sat 23 Shrewsbury Town (H)
Sat 30 Burton Albion (A)
Sun 8 Millwall (H)

Whether it’ll go down to the wire, or be confirmed ahead of time, here are the respective run in’s for the other sides seriously rivalling those valuable final spots.

Wigan Athletic:
Tue 19 Burton Albion (A)
Sat 23 Southend United (H)
Sat 30 Blackpool (A)
Sun 8 Barnsley (H)

Burton Albion:
Tue 19 Wigan Athletic (H)
Sat 23 Colchester United (A)
Sat 30 Gillingham (H)
Sun 8 Doncaster Rovers (A)

Bradford City:
Tue 19 Coventry City (A)
Sat 23 Walsall (H)
Sat 30 Southend United (A)
Sun 8 Chesterfield (H)

Millwall:
Tue 19 Fleetwood Town (H)
Sat 23 Bury (A)
Sat 30 Oldham Athletic (H)
Sun 8 Gillingham (A)

Walsall:
Tue 19 Swindon Town (H)
Sat 23 Bradford City (A)
Tue 26 Shrewsbury Town (H)
Mon 2 Fleetwood Town (H)
Sun 8 Doncaster Rovers (A)

Barnsley:
Tue 19 Peterborough United (H)
Sat 23 Sheffield United (A)
Sat 30 Colchester United (H)
Sun 8 Wigan Athletic (A)

With Burton Albion on 77 points in second spot, and Gillingham being nine points off them but no game in hand now, the automatic spots are pretty much out of reach but the Play Off route and Wembley seems far more likely with so few games left now.

With a now two point gap to Barnsley in seventh place, you would also think unless form plummets, a Play Off spot is also guaranteed, but the side needs to get back to winning ways in the next one.
